God is Love (Update) Part 2 of 3
As I mentioned in God is Love (Update) Part 1, I was going to discuss my employment with Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) and discuss some things God has placed on my heart.
My employment with YAF, what can I say. It is the greatest organization in the world. It was the driving force behind the conservative movement. Historians who have studied and written books about YAF are all in agreement, that if it weren’t for YAF the current conservative movement would not exist in its current form. What I love about YAF is its histroy, the legacy, the take no prisoners attitude when it comes to fighting the left. YAF is the embodiment of American exceptionalism, of American freedom, of everything we as free loving Americans hold dear.
Working for YAF has been the greatest joy of my life, waking up everyday with the goal to destroy the ideologies of tyranny. It is the greatest feeling in the world to know you are fighting to ensure freedom still exists for future generations.
YAF is so much more than an organization, its a lifestyle. YAF is a brotherhood, a fraternity. When I get a call from one of our members who are being persecuted because of their political beliefs, I know I have a group of YAFers who will be there fighting with me to help our fellow YAFers in need. To call yourself a YAFer means that you embody the spirit of our founders. The founders of our nation stood up to he most powerful, tyrannical and corrupt kingdom in the world, and won against all odds. YAFers are the first ones in a fight and the last ones to get out. We are the Special Forces of the conservative movement, we are the Green Berets of freedom. That is what it means to be a YAFer.
It is the greatest honor to have become a member of YAF, to serve as the Florida State Chairman, be elected for a short period as the National Vice Chairman and to serve as the last Executive Director of YAF as a stand alone organization.
I say the last as a stand alone organization because Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) is merging with Young Americas Foundation (Foundation), which I will still serve as the Executive Director of YAF. The outcome of the merger is uncertain, but what is certain is that YAF will live on for generations to come because of the merger.
My vision for the merger is that YAF becomes stronger, and at the near mention of our name, liberals fear and tremble. That is YAF, that is what we strive for, the utter destruction of tyranny, liberalism, socialism, communism and any other ideology that wants to destroy the inalienable rights of man. How we get there, well we will have to wait and see.
Its been the greatest honor to serve for YAF, and I look forward to continue serving YAF under the Foundation.
Danny, Your path has always been directed by God. Most of us go through life never grasping or understanding the purpose for our life. You have a clear vision and God has opened the doors for you to walk through them & reach out to others not just through your faith, but through your work. I am one of your biggest supporters because I know what you are capable of & how you will stop at nothing to achieve it. Those who turned their backs on you were never your friends to begin with, that was obvious when the religion you chose didn’t suit them. Even those family members that didn’t agree with your conversion need to examine their own life and not throw any stones. As long as God continues opening those doors, you know you’re on the right path son.
